Just when we thought things were returning to normal, Covid-19 threats resurfaced, and people are more terrified than ever.
Here is why. The Corona virus is evolving, with four variants already identified. One of them is the Delta variant.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Delta is more contagious than the common cold and influenza which first appeared in India and was identified in December 2020. It spread quickly and has since become the dominant variant.
The CDC has urged everyone to continue following health protocols in order to protect themselves and those around them from the variant, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated. It has been reported that a rare breakthrough case for vaccinated people, that is, those who develop illnesses despite being vaccinated, may exist.
We understand your concern, but don't worry! Wanderskye is on your side. Check out the ways to avoid the Delta variant.
- WEARING OF FACE MASKS
When going out in public, put on respirators or face masks. Small airborne particles cannot pass through your nose in this manner.
We recommend KF94 with 4 layers of filtration. You can also opt for our Face Mask with Filter Pocket or our Copper Knit Mask that comes with filters. (Note that cloth masks are commendable for an additional layer or double them over your surgical or disposable face mask).
- FACE SHIELDS ARE WORN
Don't forget to bring and wear your face shields when going out to run errands, meeting other people and for essential travels as it still a requirement in all establishments. It may not be as effective as face masks, but it can still keep droplets off your face.
Protect your eyes, mouth and nose with our Bubble or Lightweight Face Shield!
- SANITIZE YOUR HANDS AS WELL AS YOUR SPACE
Washing your hands is the best way to sanitize, but what about when you're outside? At work or in your car? Always keep a hand sanitizer on hand, or better yet, use an all-in-one sanitizing mist that is effective on hands and all surfaces. Before and after touching anything, make sure to sanitize it!

- PUT ON A PERSONAL PURIFIER
Make sure the air is clean wherever you go. You won't have to worry about smoke, dust, or bacteria if you get a personal air purifier! Breathe in fresh air wherever you go.
- GET VACCINATED
As per study, areas with low vaccination rates are more likely to be affected by the new variant. Though vaccinated individuals can contract the virus, serious cases such as hospitalization to death can be avoided.
We're all in it together. Let us be more vigilant and considerate of one another by taking appropriate safety precautions and practicing good health hygiene.
